Our discovery today is what we craved for, for the weekend and our Saturday night. She is a Canadian promising singer who started to create music at a young age and has plenty of talent.
Her name is Jey Flores, and she has just released a new EP entitled “Where I’m Supposed to Be” and we believe that the world will quickly adopt her thanks to his latest offering. The project blends RnB music with touches of Pop and Edm and is a beautiful source of positivity.
The least we can say is that the EP is perfect for our summer and sunny days. Jey Flores created an electro-pop version, infused with infectious melodies. Everything that we needed actually…!
The 5-track EP is one of the best projects that we have heard for a long time. From the first song “Free” to the last entitled “Love (Like There’s No Tomorrow)” the artist delivers a perfect opus, flawlessly produced. It is a refreshing change in an area where singers follow trends and have a limited vocabulary.
Jey Flores delivers a unique and generous vocal performance from start to finish. Moreover, each of us can relate to the lyrical content You should keep an eye on Jey Flores before she becomes global. Thank you, Jey Flores, you made our day!

5.Tell us about your latest track or Video ( what is it all about)–Please explain the concept or message.
My latest EP, “Where I’m Supposed to Be”, is a 5-song short album chronicling my personal and emotional growth, after experiencing some pretty traumatic things in my life, learning from it, and becoming the best version of myself because of it. The record implies that everything happens for a reason, and to live in the present moment. In the EP, you can definitely feel and hear different emotions, lyrically and musically.
The first song “Free” describes a time where I was trapped in a dark place, but finally had the courage to break free, and start finding myself again. This song is dedicated to many women out there experiencing or who have experienced domestic abuse. I was once a victim, but now I am a thriving survivor. The message from this song is telling those who feel trapped that you have the power to let go, cut ties, and stand up for your freedom, even if you feel scared.
The next track, “Can You Handle It”, was the most gratifying and empowering song that I wrote on the EP. It came from a place where I felt more confident about myself, in my choices and who I was. It is a song about knowing your worth, and not settling for less, all the while giving everything your all.
“I Was Wrong” brings you a sense of disappointment, heartbreak, courage and acceptance. For me, this song was a great realization to trust my intuition and even if things didn’t turn out the way I  expected it to. You learn, you grow, and you move on – even if it pains you to. The opening line of the song “I stand here alone without your love… but I’ve got my love, that’s all I need”, implies that self-love is what matters most. “I’m not afraid to be alone”, shows courage and strength to be alone, rather than in something that doesn’t suit you.
Following this, is “I Wish You Well”. When I wrote and recorded this, I was feeling a lot of emotions, but most of all, I felt vulnerable. You can hear it in my voice. There was a sense of sadness, knowing it was the end, and there was nothing else we could do, even if we tried everything. Not hostile feelings, just a love that couldn’t and wouldn’t work. I think a lot of people can relate to this.
“Love (Like There’s No Tomorrow)”. After the rain comes the sun, and a rainbow – as cliche as that sounds. I wanted this song to be more universal – not just romantic love, but having a sense of oneness – love for yourself, love for others, and the communities around the world. It’s uplifting, catchy, with a positive message. In the times we are in now, with a lot of division, I hope this song reminds everyone to stand united for the good of all humanity.
6.If you were given a chance, which Artist would you love to perform with?
H.E.R. – she is full of emotion, and I love how she writes and sings. I would love to write a song with her and perform it on stage.
