1.Can you please tell our readers your real name as well as your stage name?
My real name is Minas Georgios and I create music under the Artist name Geo Moon.
2.Where are you from and Where are you based?
My origin is from Greece (I’m an ancient Greek spirit ) and for the last 4 Years I’m residing in London (UK). Not sure for how long though. I tend to get bored easily and I like to move to new places every now and then. You can call me a nomad, a ‘’citizen of the world’’.
3. At What age did you start making music?
I’ve picked up my first guitar at the age of 15 and I started writing my own songs before I was even able to play. Music ‘spoke’ to me from the first moment and it made a release that this is the path I’m destined to follow.
4. What genre would you consider yourself?
I love to create hybrid productions by incorporating Rocky Guitar Riffs, Hip Hop Verses with strong and melodic Choruses mixed with Electronic synthesizers.
If you would like me to use labels, I would say that the type of music I make can fit into a few subgenres of the Rock family. Some of them including Rap Metal, Rap-Rock, Alternative Metal, Alternative Rock, Electronic Metal, Electronic Rock, Industrial, and Nu Metal.
5. Tell us about your latest track or Video (what is it all about)–Please explain the concept or message.
My latest single and Music Video: ‘Bring it On’ is an electrified Blend Of Rock, Hip Hop, and Electronic Music.
The lyrical content discusses topics such as esoterism, the journey within one’s self, and awakening. The result of individual awakening can lead to collective awakening. And when that happens, it can direct us towards the collapse of the establishment, a system defined by the greed for power which it’s nothing more (metaphorically speaking) than a pile of cards.
It’s up to every individual to start questioning information available and the things we ‘’know’’ from our experience in order to open our eyes and help others to do so.
The punch line of the song lies in the chorus:
‘’Beware all of you, the world is waking up,
beware, we are not afraid, it’s just a game of cards’’.
6.If you were given a chance, which Artist would you love to perform with?
I would choose Mike Shinoda without even thinking about it. I grew up listening to Metallica (they were my childhood heroes) and as a metalhead teenager, I was not very open-minded about other genres rather than Heavy Rock and Metal. Other kinds of music were too soft for my 15-year old version. However, when I first listened to Linkin Park, I was just blown away. The way they united two Contrasting (but also so similar in their rebellious philosophy) worlds of Rock and Hip Hop, made me contemplate at music from a different perspective. It was that moment that my love for Hip Hop music was set in motion. At this point, I can enjoy literally any kind of music if it sounds pleasant to my ears, but it was Mike’s work (Linkin Park, Fort Minor) that ignited that first spark.
