Our focus of the day is a delight for our ears. He goes by the name of Bocar and is among those surprising artists.

With his latest release “Cherry Red”, he proves that creative artists still exist. He delivers a genre-blending track between pop, RnB, and touches of old school synth notes.  This song has so much feeling in it.

The audio quality is solid, This jam is definitely fun to listen to, While Bocar’s rhyming skills are enough to stand on their own, what makes the song interesting is that it’s put together artistically and with genuine style. The man has good taste, and you can tell he really does put his heart into his music.

Definitely an artist you should keep an eye on as he is on the right path. Bocar’s voice is recognizable, the kind of voice that is never heard before. A beautiful surprise in an area where a lot of tracks sound the same. “Cherry Red” is now on repeat in our Spotify playlist, and we are sure that you will get addicted too:

We invite you to discover his music right now and to discover our conversation with him below:

1.Can you please tell our readers your real name as well as your stage name?

Stage name : Bocar (middle name)
2.Where are you from and Where are you based?
I’m from Paris (France) and I also live here.
3.At What age did you start making music?
I started to do vocal coaching when I was 17. I am currently in a
jazz school to learn music at a professional level.
4.What genre would you consider yourself?
My primary genre is R&B. Then I like to mix my R&B voice with Urban
Pop, Hip Hop, Indie or Alternative beats.
5.Tell us about your latest track or Video ( what is it all about)–Please explain the concept or message.
After the release of my single Hurricane, a “storytelling” track
that shows a nostalgic side of me, then Lust, a “dramatic” track that
shows my romantic side, Cherry Red is the “dance” song that unveils
the festive part of me. It describes Man’s weakness in the face of
temptations. In this context, I am alluding to sexual attraction, the
cherry being the connotation to the female genitalia. The artwork
recalls the scene of Adam and Eve’s Original Sin, and the cherries
replace the apple. An urban club song I perform alongside the rapper
1000Faces (also my friend and sound engineer).
Cherry Red was released on December 25th. It is the last single of a
series of three, that concludes the year 2020. An EP is in preparation
for the beginning of 2021.
6.If you were given a chance, which Artist would you love to perform with?
If I were given a chance, I’d love to perform with Frank Ocean, J.
Cole, Drake, The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, Daniel Caesar.
