Darkside is my new project releasing February 20, 2021. Darkside is a different song from the previous releases that I have released before; Darkside is a sad rap song featuring the upcoming rapper Seon; Seon has a viral piece with over 12 million views. Darkside is a project-based on a true story about the inner demons I have struggled with my whole life. This song is focused on the horrible process of breakup and how the process messes with the person emotionally. The song came to life when Seon and I talked about our inner demons and what was making us struggle the most. After talking for a while, I wanted to create a song for people to connect and for other individuals to know they are not alone and possibly make a song that could help them understand that many people go through the same process and let them know they are not alone.
2.What makes your music unique? And how would you describe it?
I believe what makes my music unique is that my listeners can connect to the music and relate to it. My music goal is for the listeners to escape reality momentarily and go into a world where they have nothing to worry about and have either peace or fun. I would describe my music as some escape from any problems the listener is dealing with and have some time to themselves and away from their situations where they can relax, listen to music and have fun.
3.Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?
The best moment in my musical career was when I achieved sufficient popularity to start getting gigs around the city and the country. I started playing as DJ in important events, clubs, and private parties. I was getting booked for almost every weekend and had many people expecting me and excited for me to be playing as a DJ at that event. I also think that another one of the best moments in my musical career is when I finally was brave enough to start releasing the music that I created to the public and got excellent reviews.
4.How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends, or work?
To balance my music with my other obligations, I organize my day-to-day activities pretty well. I have separate times for my school, work, music, and my friends and family. One very important thing is that music is not something that you can work on every day. Music is something that you need to be inspired to be able to work on it so when I have a really good idea on my mind for a song or melody, what I usually do is if I can, I will stop doing everything I am doing at that time and grab my computer and start working on music right away. A music idea will not stay on your mind forever, so it is essential to get that idea out of my head and into my computer as fast as possible.
5.What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
My advice to any other aspiring musician is never to stop doing what you love; what I mean by this as a musician, you will find that there will be many obstacles in your way, and many of them will make you want to stop doing what you love entirely. For me, this happened many times as many obstacles made me want to quit completely, but I didn’t, and it has been one of the best decisions I have made since after not quitting, I have gotten many opportunities and have continued to do what I love and been happier than ever.
6.If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
One message for my fans is thank you for all the support you have given me throughout my journey as a musician, I really hope you like my new project, “Darkside (feat. Seon)” and again I want to thank you for all the support and I am not planning on stopping creating music anytime soon.
7.What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?
Actually yes, There are many projects in the making which will be coming in the next few months, there are my style and will be something totally new that the public has yet to hear. These projects that will be releasing soon have been in the works for months now, and they are almost done; and I can’t wait to release them to the public and for everybody to listen to them.
