Contemporary Menswear Label Arte Imagines a Clean Visual Utopia for SS22

Contemporary Antwerp-based label Arte has recently unveiled its Spring/Summer 2022 collection of graphic-heavy pieces which combine contemporary artistic expressions and subcultural tendencies with organic forms and futuristic design references.

Taking inspiration from the biomorphic art movement—a design known for its curvilinear, decorative and romantic principles—the brand’s latest collection houses a variety of abstract organic patterns and all-over prints which feature across the shapes of pockets of various pieces.

In line with the free-flowing forms, the label also introduces a black quilted jacket complete with a striking all-over floral pattern as well as a matching bucket hat. Standouts this season include a two-piece set which is presented in a new shade of cream, a jacket, and matching pants covered in an all-over wavy jacquard print.

In contrast, various geometrical designs and grid-like patterns feature throughout the Spring/Summer 2022 collection. Comprising an enriched colour palette of grey and cream and contrasting shades of “Skylight Blue” red and green, the Arte Antwerp logo has been reimagined into contemporary forms with strong light-dark colour contrasts and the label’s characteristic heart logo has been broken down into geometrical shapes throughout the new range.

Likewise, the collection also offers a range of denim pieces, which have been stonewashed for a vintage look, and an assortment of knitwear crafted from breathable premium cotton. Elsewhere, new tracksuit silhouettes are added to the offering and crafted in premium nylon, while accessories, which include bucket hats and nylon tote bags as well as a belt, leather wallet and socks, round things out.
