DISCOVERY OF THE DAY: BAD TERMS BY J-MAX

“Bad Terms”, by J-MAX is probably the dopest track we have heard in a while!

Thank you J-MAX! You gave us hope. The hope that yes, people can Rap and make real music! “Bad Terms” is just proof of it and is perfect for beautiful days.

The song is constructed to a very high standard, making excellent use of precision timed vocal layering. With a peppy pace and aerodynamic flow. It boasts an upbeat, feel-good ambiance.

J-MAX ‘s lyrics are catchy, peppered with occasional pop culture references, and he demonstrates a dynamic vocal presence. Hip Pop is one of the most difficult genres to sing. It’s just not something you can fake, and not only is the singing on this track good, but it’s also performed capably at impressive speeds. The talent is there. This artist just the right people to notice, and he’ll be in business.

We invite you to discover her music right now and to discover our conversation with him below:
1.Can you please tell our readers your real name as well as your stage name?
My full name is Justus Max Brown. My artist’s name is J-MAX. Its the J from Justus and Max is my middle name. I got my artist’s name from my parents. They used J-MAX as a nickname for me growing up.
2.Where are you from and Where are you based?
The tough question actually. So I was born in Michigan, I moved to Houston when I was 7. Then moved to Dallas. But I am currently living in Phoenix, Arizona.
3.At What age did you start making music?
I wrote my first song when I was probably ten, but it was literally just a poem on a piece of paper I had no actual music to go with it. Then around 7th grade, I taught myself how to play the piano and really got into making beats. Then I released my first song in my freshman year of high school on my friend’s Soundcloud page. The song was terrible and is actually still on Soundcloud somewhere lol.
4.What genre would you consider yourself?
Right now I would say I’m in the Pop/ Hip Hop genre. But in the future, I’m looking to branch and really show my versatility as an artist and do genres like real rap, RnB, and Alternative.
5.Tell us about your latest track or Video ( what is it all about)–Please explain the concept or message.
My most recent song is called ‘Bad Terms’. The song is about relationships, specifically when a relationship doesn’t end well and both people are on ‘bad terms’ with each other after the breakup. The song is actually about three different girls that I was talking to on separate occasions, but I combined all of them into one single person. So I’m writing about everything I experienced from them all, but I’m talking as if they’re all one person.
6.If you were given a chance, which Artist would you love to perform with?
This is such a tough question. I can’t just pick one but I’ll narrow it down to a couple. I would love to work with Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Post Malone, Justin Bieber, and Logic.
7.Where can fans find you? List all your social media links.?
Fans can find me on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Soundcloud.
