“Dangerous ” is the new track by YLM SHWTY featuring Idkjack and certainly one of the most interesting we have heard for a while, we could imagine us walking alone in the forest in the middle of the night, trying to escape from our sadness and pain.
This is what we like: music that makes us feel something. This is a rare thing and we are happy to have found that with Samuel Proffitt.
The only thing preventing this song from hitting the mainstream is that it just hasn’t been seen by the right person yet.
What’s amazing is how much musical variety there is in just this one track. It’s like you’re getting 5 songs for the price of one, though it all meshes together rather fluidly. YLM SHWTY has an impressive voice
I have to say that this song is incredibly relaxing, but there’s enough energy floating around in this recording to induce you to vibe with it if the mood was right
“Dangerous ” is a song that you need to experience:
We invite you to discover his music right now and to discover our conversation with him below:
1. Tell us about Dangerous? And what’s the story behind it?
Dangerous is a song I wrote about a week after me and my ex broke up. The song is about how love and heartbreak have been confusing to me, but also how it has affected me and made me “dangerous”
The song is about how I and my ex used to break up, then get back together and do that same shit over and over again.
I got Idkjack on the song since I felt like he was the perfect match, he’s doing a lot of emotional songs which was the exact vibe I was going for with Dangerous. And as expected he killed it!
2. What makes your music unique? And how would you describe it?
The one main thing that makes my music unique is first of all my danish accent. Some like it and others hate it. I love it. Second of all, I’m trying to come up with flows and melodies that haven’t been heard before.
3. Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?
The best moment in my music career must have been when I finally told my friends about what I was doing. And I feel like that ever since I have received all of the support that I needed. Also, another quick thing is all of the supportive people that I’ve met in the community.
4. How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends or work?
I just graduated college and am right now trying to focus on improving my music. So I don’t have a job besides my music of course. I’m 18 years old so I still live at home which means I still get to spend time with my family.
5. What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
Don’t stop believing in yourself. The problem I had when I first started making music was that I wasn’t confident enough. And that can be tracked down even into the music. I think that being confident is one of the most important things when making music and establishing a brand as an artist.
6. If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
Never stop chasing your dreams, hard work, patience, and confidence can get you everywhere.
7. What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?
Right now is my biggest goal to get my music on some platforms like Promoting Sounds. I’m focused on improving my music and of course, I’m working towards my dream of being a worldwide full-time rap artist. Let’s see where it takes us
