THE MERRICKS SHARES NEW ALBUM ENTITLED “CONFUSION”

Our focus today is on Switzerland-based emerging one-man band The Merricks. His latest offering “Confusion” is one of the most surprising and creative albums of the month.

The Merricks has the talent to create his own genre by blending the classical jazz, with the modern influences of punk and electro music of all sorts.

“Confusion” is more interesting than the typical electronic music record because it represents something new. Stylewise I haven’t heard anything quite like this.
The album certainly has the potential to inspire people, and may very well carve out some uncharted pathways for this genre.
What’s innovative about these tracks though is how versatile they are and the flavorful elements which are incorporated into the sound.
The 34 tracks opus “Confusion” is appealing from Start to finish, we predict a bright future for “The Merricks ”.

We invite you to discover his music right now and to discover our conversation with him below.
1.Tell us about Confusion? And what’s the story behind it?
I built three characters, two women and a man (Jill, Joan, and Joe), these girls are quite aggressive and involved while the man is cooler and keeping his distance, the idea of this album is that people imagine the relationships between these people; I wrote the characters up to you to write the story.
2.What makes your music unique? And how would you describe it?
I guess time will tell if it’s really unique, but I’m free from any boundaries so it gives me the ability to create the way I am and not the way fashion wants me to be.
3.Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?
Next one
4.How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends, or work?
I suffer from mental health issues and because of that I can’t have an « average » work, I have no friends anymore, it’s quite a difficult situation and there is no cure… music helps me to breathe
5.What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
Do what you are, don’t try to impress and give everything you are, be spontaneous and generous
6.If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
Be true
7.What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?
Another album is coming next month, beware!
