The man behind projects such as reggae band Otautahi Allstars and Rolling Stone’s 4 out 5 star rated album ‘Moving On’, has surfaced with his new single ‘Frenemy’, featuring Auckland dancehall queen Rubi Du.
The new video single is a synth driven ragga dancehall track layered with Rubi Du’s zeitgeist lyrics in her unique singjay style. With Johnny Hooves mixing and Hospital Records Dan Gresham (aka Nu-Tone) on mastering duties, ‘Frenemy’ is a signal of intent by the Central Records owner – an opening salvo in an ambitious plan to release five EPs in 15 months.
